Ularu had previously been called Ayer's Rock.  It has been said that this is the largest monolithic rock in the world.  I'm not so convinced but it is big and famous.  Both at sunrise and sunset the rock is lite dramatically.  This photo was taken in what was one of the coldest days in thirty years.   It actually snowed on us and other unsuspecting tourists.
