Telegraph Cove is a major center for salmon fishing in northern Vancouver Island.  It sits just opposite of Alert Bay which is also noted for its salmon.  Unfortunately a newer and much larger resort is being built just up the hill from this picturesque cove.  Also here is a whale museum on the end of the pier.
