Ta Prohm, Cambodia

Ta Prohm trees

"Ta Prohm Temple, Angkor" ©2001 photo Elroy Christenson

The gigantic trees have grown all through this ruin and actually pried the stones apart collapsing some structures. No restoration is planned for this site because removing the huge trees would do more damage than good for the structure. Besides that it looks so great! We really felt that we had just discovered these stones. I was warned here not to get too close to the roots of a particular tree because that's where a cobra lives.
